Welcome to Greenes Shoes, a 100% Irish-owned footwear store, proudly run by the Greene family since 1939. From our roots in Donegal, we have grown to serve customers across Ireland with stores in Letterkenny, Galway, and Limerick, alongside our online store.
We specialise in quality men’s and ladies' shoes, offering a wide range of footwear for every occasion. Our collections feature leading international footwear brands such as Birkenstock, Dr. Martens, Blundstone, Rieker, Gabor, Wonders, Ecco, Bugatti, Skechers, Dubarry, Tamaris, Heavenly Feet, Another Trend, and many more.

Our History - Over 80 Years in Business
Our story began in 1939, when Charlie Greene first opened a haberdashery store in Falcarragh, Co. Donegal, which quickly became a trusted part of the local community.
In the late 1970s and early 1980s, the business was expanded by his son Alfie, who opened a larger department store in Market Square on Main Street Letterkenny, growing the family business into a well-known retail destination in Donegal.
Following a firebomb attack in 1987, the business was rebuilt as a dedicated shoe shop, focusing exclusively on quality footwear. Throughout this transition, our commitment to serving our customers remained unchanged.
Now, Greenes Shoes is proudly led by Maria, Alfie’s daughter. She has continued to grow what her grandfather started, opening new stores across Ireland and building an online store so customers can shop with us wherever they are.
After all these years, it still feels like a family business - because it is.
